I have a passion for very close details of flowers, and tree bark for that matter. I found this begonia inspiring.
Chicago Peace Rose
Chicago Peace Rose is one of my absolute favorite roses. The beautiful form and color variations make it a joy to photograph.
The brilliant red-orange of this rose is almost electric.I found the center of this particular rose almost "beak like" and thought it would make a great photograph.
I love this shot! Not only is it a beautiful shot of the flower detail, but capturing two different types of bees was the "icing on the cake".
Chicago Peace Rose Bud
Chicago Peace Rose is at the top of my favorite rose list. This bud was gorgeous and now will be preserved in this perfect state for posterity.
What more can I say… I love flowers and all of the exquisite detail that makes each one unique. The nuance in the color of this Columbine was a joy to photograph. At the time I had never seen a lavender Columbine. I found this one in Seattle.
Such a complex and striking flower. I really like the mottled background against this beautiful Delphinium.
Trumpeter Rose Profile
The striking contrast of complementary colors in this photograph made it worthy of placement in my website.
Grand Canyon Blues
I know this is not a flower! But, I really love it and wanted it on the site.
Most often you see orange toned photos of the Grand Canyon. I took this photograph as the light was waining and the whole canyon had turned blue. The silhouette of the trees and rocks against the blue canyon makes this picture one of my favorites.
